You also learn different ways to approach black and white depending on weather conditions. Dramatic cloudy skies can be taken advantage of in b/w by correct use of filters, whereas dull over caste days can still make for arresting images, it's all about how you approach it.
Along with mastering B/W you will also learn which techniques suit architecture photography the best. From taking advantage of shape and form, minimalism and the effect of different focal lengths.

In this session, we will be covering how to better understand Architecture photography and we'll be looking at ways to take some impressive shots and the camera settings to use.
We will also look at how important composition is, and the wide varieties of approach that can be used for architecture to create some arresting images
Brighton train station itself boasts some impressive period architectural details, and then the new development behind it shows a marked contrast in architectural styles. There will be plenty of opportunity to make some creative images and hopefully you will never look at buildings in quite the same way!

We will focus on street and street art photography.

Learn different ways to compose and to approach street photography, from searching for the "moment" and capturing it, to setting a scene and waiting for something to happen.

Learning to "see" interesting detail is a practised skill and we introduce you to easy methods that will open your photographer's eye and expose you to a world that is alive with detail. The most rewarding part of the class is learning how to approach interesting people and have them willingly pose for you.
We will also go over settings, focusing techniques and lens choices common to street photography to help us capture those random chance encounters.
